When Opposition Becomes Personal – 02.03.2013

02-03-13 Pastor Rob Gerber – 1 Thessalonians 3

February 1st, 2013
Greetings,

It is the 1st day of February! Where did the long month of January go? I am looking forward to the No Regrets Men’s Conference tomorrow. We have a lot of men signed up from the church and I believe God will use to make our love abound for each other and for the Lord.

1 Thessalonians 3:12 (ESV)
“…and may the Lord make you increase and abound in love for one another and for all, as we do for you,”

I hope that you are enjoying the series in I Thessalonians. This Sunday, February 3rd, at 9am and 10:45am, Rob will continue this series. Last week he shared about the opposition that Paul experienced in sharing and living out the gospel. We will also receive this opposition if we are vocal and true to the gospel. This Sunday, he will share on how we shouldn’t be surprised to have affliction from people. Jesus was hated even though he was perfectly loving and kind to every person he encountered. Should we expect less? Rob will also guide us into how to respond when people oppose, criticize, and afflict us for our faith in Christ.

Read I Thessalonians 3:1-13 to prepare your heart.

The worship songs this week are below:

  1. House Of God Forever
  2. Devotion
  3. Like An Avalanche
  4. How He Loves
  5. Till I See You
