01-06-13 A Look Back & A Look Ahead

Happy New Year,

I hope that you will join us this Sunday, January 6th, at either of our two regularly scheduled services – 9am and 10:45am. This week we will have our annual State of the Church address. From the title it might seem to be a boring topic like a political speech. Our time on Sunday will really be a celebration. We will look back over the past year and rejoice together in what God has done. We will have several testimonies from people whom God has changed their lives. We will also highlight some of the victories as well as challenges.

One special event this Sunday will be our “mortgage burning”. Several weeks ago we paid the last $6,000 that we owed to the bank on the money we borrowed to buy land, the building and move the building to this location. As a church, we are now debt-free and will celebrate that fact. We also want to lay out where we feel God calling us to go in the coming year.
