Women’s Christmas Tea
Sunday, Dec. 3, 2016 from 1-3 pm
Location: to be announced
The women of Cedarcreek gather in December for this annual event to enjoy tea and snacks. We sing Christmas carols and several ladies share how God has changed their lives. This is a time of sweet fellowship and a reminder of the reason for the season. Sunday, December 13, 2015 14th annual 1-3 pm It was cloudy, 40s, and a slight drizzling rain. 34 women and 1 baby boy. Camille Hedrington’s historic home in Chippewa Falls. There was a nice variety of veggies, dips & humus, spinach bread bowl, smoked salmon dip with veggies & crackers, Christmas bread, cookies, brownies, cheese & sausage with crackers. Camille Hedrington and her friend, Sophie, made the tea. Nancy Zellinger brought 4 pots of coffee from church plus a can of whipped cream and Larine Wald brought special Starbucks sprinkles (coconut & graham cracker/cinnamon) to sprinkle on top of coffee & whipped cream. Kelsey Blomberg started us off by explaining the schedule. After eating, it was a special treat to hear “Alabaster Box” (CeCe Winans) sung by Lisa Paullin. Next Sue Gerber lead us in sharing stories of gifts we had received. Sue treasured a homemade ornament she received from a neighbor boy. We sang Christmas carols accompanied by Ann Geary on the piano. Sue Gerber gave everyone a tract “Christmas – Steps to Peace with God”. We didn’t take a group photo this year. Instead Nancy Zellinger took pictures of groups of women. We had new binder bound songbooks with 8 new Christmas songs. We ended at 3 pm, but Camille encouraged everyone to stay and visit if they were able.
