Faithwalkers is a yearly conference, hosted by Walnut Creek Church for the Midwest Regional Churches of Great Commission Churches. This conference is for young and old followers of Christ together, to be motivated and encouraged in their walk of faith. The conference features passionate worship, practical Biblical teaching, and fellowship with believers from throughout the US and the world.
The 2018 theme is “Before the Cross”.
This year’s theme is centered on Chapters 13-17 of the Gospel of John. The main stage teachings will come from these chapters and we encourage you as you prepare for the conference, to be reading through the book of John.
In John 13, Jesus begins his final discourse with his disciples before he goes to the cross. These final hours are devoted to preparing his disciples to take the message of the gospel to the ends of the earth. For the past three years, the disciples saw Jesus everyday and depended on him for everything. Soon, Jesus would go to the cross, rise from the dead, and ascend into heaven, leaving the disciples in the world to preach the gospel and represent him. But how are they to represent Jesus in the world? How do they continue a relationship with Jesus, if Jesus has gone to heaven? Why does God allow painful trials for those who follow Jesus? What will make the gospel believable in a dark and corrupt world? All of these questions will be answered and more at Faithwalkers 18.
