Greetings,
We are rapidly closing in on the Deer Hunting / Thanksgiving season with the Christmas season to follow. It is an exciting time filled with many nostalgic memories. I have two important reminders to give you:
- This Saturday night is daylight savings time so you get one more hour of sleep. Don’t forget to turn your clocks back one hour.
- Make sure you vote next Tuesday Nov 6th in the Presidential election that greatly influences our lives by the selection of our leaders.
This Sunday November 4th, Rob will continue our teaching in our “Transformational Church” series. His topic will be: “Mission: Show Jesus through Words and Actions”. In healthy churches, members are focused on the mission that Jesus had and modeled. He went about doing good and healing. He lived out the gospel by loving and serving others – but he also went about preaching the gospel message. As Christians, we need to have this same twofold purpose – telling others the gospel of the grace of God and demonstrating love by serving and doing good.
While I am at Coulee Rock teaching last Sunday and this one, I am getting some interviews of people who have been impacted by the church. On December 2nd, we will celebrate the successful launching of Coulee Rock Church and the completing of the 3 year Capital Campaign that financed the church start-up. We will praise God together for the part we have had in advancing His Kingdom.
