Let’s just admit it, often times marriage is challenging. Whether you are newlyweds or you’ve been married for many years, you may sometimes feel like your marriage isn’t quite what you expected or hoped for. Maybe you just feel stuck and are filled with questions. How do we recapture the dreams we once had for our marriage? More importantly how do we discover and realize God’s vision for our marriage? Where do we even begin?
Just like getting into shape physically, or bringing health to our finances, developing a great marriage starts with small steps. Unfortunately, we don’t like small. We like big. Through the prophet Zechariah, God gives us a different perspective, and he gives us hope.
“Do not despise these small beginnings, for the Lord rejoices to see the work begin, to see the plumb line in Zerubbabel’s hand.” – Zechariah 4:10, NLT
For all of us, small steps – some good, some bad, some downright ugly, have brought us to this point in our marriage. Join us as we look at some small, yet significant steps that we all can take in our beliefs, thoughts, words and actions that will move us down the path toward building the beautiful marriage that God has envisioned for us.
