05-12-13 Happy Mother’s Day – Stories & Tributes
May 10th, 2013
I want to thank Pam Berg and all the women who put together the “Inspire” Women’s Conference this weekend. We want to be a church that supports and develops mother’s to do their indispensable job of raising-up the next generation. I thought the following story below was very cute and am passing it on to you for your heart this Mother’s Day.
Magnet
A teacher gave her class of second graders a lesson on the magnet and what it does.
The next day in a written test, she included this question:
“My full name has six letters. The first one is M. I am strong and attractive. I pick up things. What am I?”
“When the test papers were turned in, the teacher was astonished to find that almost 50 percent of the students answered the question with the word “Mother.”
This Sunday May 12th, we will honor moms. Rob will give a short devotional. We will do something unusual in that we will have an open sharing time where anyone can give a short testimony (Please hold it to under 1 minute) of what their mother has meant to them. So if there is something you would like to say, come prepared!
