11-11-12 Pastor Rob Gerber – Transformational Church
November 9th, 2012
Greetings,
I am so proud that so many of you are stepping up to reach out in love and compassion to meet the needs of others. We have been praying and working over the past year to grow as a church in our care and compassion toward others outside of Cedarcreek. As an example of this, Eli Kramer lead a team of the SPUDS small group and others to raise money for God’s Little Angels Orphanage in Haiti. Last weekend they hosted the “Portion” event. They fed a meal of rice and beans and held an art sale. Through this event, they raised $1,346 to help out the GLA Orphanage. Great job guys and gals!
This Sunday November 11th, Rob will finish our fall teaching series entitled: “Transformational Church”. His topic will be: “Vibrant Leadership”. In healthy churches, men and women step up to take responsibility to lead various aspects of the church structure. Transformational churches have a vibrant, visionary and hard-working leadership community. Leadership is open to all who will step up. It is appropriate that we will recognize the deacons for 2013 on Sunday. We are fortunate that we have many people leading out as deacons (servants), small group and ministry leaders at Cedarcreek.
I look forward to being with you again after spending two Sundays at Coulee Rock in La Crosse.
Pastor Dave
