11-18-12 Deacon Mark Anderson – Bumber Sticker: “Don’t Believe Everything you Think”
November 16th, 2012
Greetings,
As Thanksgiving approaches, we again have so much to be thankful for here in the U.S. God’s people around the world are not so fortunate. Let us not forget others in our prayers. As I write, war is again building in the Middle East. Rockets are reigning down in Israel and in Gaza.
Pray for the peace of Jerusalem: “May they prosper who love you.” – Psalm 122:6 (NASB)
I am reminded that we live in an unstable world because of Mankind’s rebellion against God. The message of the gospel is the medicine that heals nations but it all starts with healing in an individual’s heart. As we come into the Thanksgiving and Christmas, let us be looking for opportunities to spread peace in this broken world by spreading the love of Christ in people’s broken hearts.
This Sunday November 18th, Mark Anderson will be teaching a message with an intriguing title, “Don’t Believe Everything You Think”. Our minds are at the center of our being. Our thoughts can bounce around in all kinds of directions. We tend to think all our thoughts are right. But Mark will challenge us, that this presumption is not always true.
For those deer hunters going into the woods and fields this weekend, I hope that you have a safe and successful hunt.
