06-17-12 Pastor Mike Downie – Character in the Midst of Chaos

Greetings,

This Sunday June 17th at 10am, we will have a very special time for honoring the dads on this Father’s Day. The role of dads in the lives of their children is vital to the fabric of our communities. He can be the hero to his children and yet in our country today he has been neglecting that role far too often. God is asking fathers to commit their lives to living for their families. I pray the words of Malachi would ring true in our community as we honor fathers this Sunday.

“He will turn the hearts of the fathers to their children, and the hearts of the children to their fathers;” Malachi 4:6

This Sunday, Pastor Rob will continue our summer series, Character in the Midst of Chaos, as he speaks about Barak. Barak has been called by God to lead an army against the cruel oppression of Sisera and his nine hundred iron chariots. He says yes, but only if Deborah will go with him. I encourage you to read Judges chapter 4 and 5 in preparation for this Sunday.
